Life is gradually returning to normal and things are opening up again !!
From Monday 12th April, all shops, hairdressers, gyms and swimming pools will be open and cafes, restaurants and pubs can serve drinks and food outside.
So we will be able to enjoy a freshly roasted coffee overlooking our beautiful cathedral or take a relaxing walk along the beach at Exmouth.
We are fortunate to be in a part of the country where Covid has been less of a problem. Exeter and the South West region as a whole has very low rates of Covid.
We had just 17 infections per 100,000 people last week and there are almost no serious cases in hospitals.
Of course we will do everything possible to maximise your safety and security. At the school, we are providing safety protection with all staff and students using face-shields in lessons and also we have lots of hand-sanitizers around for everyone.
There is also a walk-in rapid testing centre locally so that students and staff can test regularly to ensure they are free of the virus, which gives us added reassurance.
We have been open since 2nd November last year and our classes are very small, with between 1 and 3 students in.
Spring is a lovely time in Exeter and we have been seeing some gorgeous blossoms as you can see in the photos. Every day gets warmer and longer and listening to the birds welcoming each day in is a genuine pleasure !
We are hoping for more positive developments with travel too. The UK Government has just announced a ‘traffic-light’ system for people who travel here. We will give more details soon but people travelling from green, safer countries will not have to quarantine.
We look forward to welcoming you all soon !!!
Take care, stay safe and our warmest wishes to you all !!!!
